Criminal History Restriction/Expungement
The law recently changed in Georgia to allow criminal record restriction (formally called “expungement”) in a wider array of circumstances.
For example, under the Youthful Offender Act, if you were convicted of certain misdemeanors while you were under 21 but completed your sentence and stayed out of trouble for 5 years, you may petition the court to remove the misdemeanor conviction from your criminal record.
Schedule an Initial Consultation with a CBJ Criminal Defense attorney to see if your conviction qualifies for restriction under the new laws.
