When private property is taken by eminent domain, the owner is entitled to just and adequate compensation. Just adequate compensation in Georgia includes a payment to the owner for the reasonable market value of the property acquired as well as for damages to the remainder known as consequential damages.  We have garnered settlements and jury verdicts well in excess of the initial value established by the governmental entity.  Our established relationships with well-seasoned expert witnesses in appraisal and engineering further advance our client’s interests.
